 COVID-19: Indoor exercise activities

The government's Movement Control Order (PKP), which is in effect until March 31, has rendered many people unable to go about their everyday lives, including exercising outside the house, in order to stem the development of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Many people become less active when they are unable to leave the house for two weeks, but this is not a reason to stop exercising.

This is because it is necessary to build the body's endurance, and we may still undertake mild exercise activities on a regular basis even at home.

1. Extend your body.

Instead than sitting at home all day doing nothing, search for activities to do at home. Stretching exercises should be done at least once every two hours if you are very lethargic.

2. Rope jumps

Even if you are unable to attend a gym during the PKP period, you may still engage in rigorous training at home. A jump rope is one of them, and it may help you build stamina. Most importantly, it's entertaining!

3. Run by a local

Jogging or local running has been shown to be beneficial to liver function. You may do it at home while watching TV or listening to music.

4. Jump the frog and push the button.

The frog jump is simple and can be completed in about ten seconds. It's a fantastic body and cardiovascular warm-up, and push-ups are beneficial for arm and chest muscular building. It doesn't take long; each session should last no more than 10 to 15 minutes.

5. Zumba and aerobics

Aerobic and zumba activities may be done both inside and outside. This activity is even more enjoyable when done with additional family members.

There are also other exercises that may be done, such as walking about the home for 10 to 15 minutes or going up and down the stairs. Do it two to three times a day, if possible.

Search YouTube for dance or aerobics videos to add to the enjoyment.

Most essential, practise good personal hygiene and take precautions such as washing hands often, wearing a face mask, and maintaining personal hygiene.
